ALTERNATIVE FORMATS FOR INFORMATION
All forms and information are available in large print upon request. Please visit the Bookable Access Facilities page for more information.
We provide at least one accessible toilet at each main toilet block in the arena, one at each of viewing platforms and one at the Welfare tent. These will be ‘festival style’ portable units, some of which will be locked with Radar locks.
There is an induction loop at the main Accessibility check-in point (the location of this will be made clear in the access info).
Please note that strobe effects may be used at the event. There will be no specific announcements prior to the use of strobes and lasers. Strobe flicker rates will be at or below 4 flashes per second.
Our on-site medical services provide comprehensive medical advice and treatment facilities and are flexible in meeting specific needs. The location of these services will be available on the maps in your info pack and on site.
Citadel is on a green-field site with some tarmac paths. While there are some sheltered areas (marquees) it is mainly an open-air event. Weather and ground conditions may be variable and in times of extreme weather, mobility on the site may become very difficult. We ask you to consider this before purchasing a ticket. The festival takes place in a large area of the park to the East of Grove Road. The route from the registered blue-badge parking area/pick-up/drop-off point to the arena entrance is approximately 650m over tarmac paths.
More information about site layout can be made available on request from mid June onwards.
Distances from main transport hubs are as follows:
Mile End tube – 1 mile
Bethnal Green tube – 1.2 miles
Hackney Wick BR – 1.1 miles
Cambridge Heath BR – 2.1 miles.
These buses stop close to the park: 277, D6 and 30.

Citadel is likely to be a very busy festival, and so to facilitate the safe movement of participants and the public following the procession to the west side of Victoria Park there will be a temporary road closure between Old Ford Road and Lauriston Road.
ACCESSIBLE TAXI PARTNERSHIP
We have teamed up with a local taxi company who have two wheelchair accessible taxis for guests that require an adapted vehicle. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for taxi’s to arrive at the collection point during end of show, and specify if you require an adapted vehicle for wheelchair access when booking. Please also consider that these adapted vehicles are limited, so they will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis. (This is not a subsidised service).
PLEASE NOTE: Your accessibility pass(es) will not be sent out in advance with your ticket(s). All passes, including vehicle accreditation will be collected at the designated accessibility window at the box office at Crown Gate entrance.
