ID & AGE RESTRICTIONS
We’re sorry but under 18s must be accompanied by a person aged 18 years or over. For the avoidance of doubt, please note that this is not an 18+ event.
The following ID can be used as proof of age for entering the site:
• Current Passport
• Current UK Driver’s License or Provisional License
• VALIDATE UK (must be a pass card with a hologram – details on www.pass-scheme.org.uk)
• Oyster Photocard
• NUS Card
• A National identity card
MAXIMUM OF 4 UNDER 18s PER ADULT
Children aged under 12 are allowed into the Event with a valid Child’s Ticket. Proof of identity and age must be provided on request at the admissions gate to the Venue. Please note that there are only a limited number of Child Tickets available for the Event and once Child Tickets have sold out, an Adult Ticket will need to be purchased for the individual aged under 12. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission if its staff or agents are in any doubt whatsoever as to the age of the person being presented as being younger than 12 years old.

War Child is striving for a world with no child’s life torn apart by conflict. War Child protects, educates and stands up for the rights of children caught up in conflict. The charity aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and stays to support them through their recovery – helping to keep them safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future.
Volunteering to be a steward at Citadel or donating will support War Child’s work with Syrian children to access education, reintegrating child soldiers in the Central African Republic and promoting justice for young people in detention in Afghanistan. War Child, together with its partners, works in 15 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and Latin America.
War Child will be running our stewarding operations again this year. The registration process is now open, you can apply here.
Remember when packing that glass is not allowed at the festival for safety reasons.

We have a limited number on site. Please bring enough cash with you so you don’t have to spend your time in a queue.

This will be clearly signed and located within the event site. Here you can find out information about transport, lost property, access facilities etc.
We also have drinking water points and secure lockers on site.
Families are welcome. Under 12s must purchase a Junior Ticket. Everyone 12 or over must have an adult’s ticket and all under 18s must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over.
There is a maximum of 4 under 18s who can be accompanied by one person aged 18 or over.

There is a possibility that the sound pressure may exceed 96dB. Prolonged exposure to loud noise can affect your hearing.
There is a hearing loop at the Accessible check-in point, the location of this will be made clear in the Accessibility information provided to you upon request.
We are pleased to have this event in Victoria Park. We can only do so with the support of the local community, so please respect our neighbours by arriving and leaving peacefully and quietly. Do not drop litter and please use the portable toilets provided.
Please note that strobe effects may be used at the event. There will be no specific announcements prior to the use of strobes and lasers. Strobe flicker rates will be at or below 4 flashes per second.
Our on-site medical services provide comprehensive medical advice and treatment facilities and are very flexible in meeting specific needs. The location of these services will be available on the maps in your info pack and on site.
All of the tented stages at Citadel have a maximum capacity that, by law, we cannot exceed. If you want to see a particular artist, please arrive early to the stage to avoid disappointment. Once the tents have reached capacity we will be enforcing a one in one out policy. If you cannot get access, we recommend you go and enjoy an artist at an alternative stage.
ACCESS AROUND THE SITE
Citadel is on a green-field site with some tarmac paths. While there are some sheltered areas (marquees) it is mainly an open-air event. Weather and ground conditions may be variable and in times of extreme weather, mobility on the site may become very difficult. We ask you to consider this before purchasing a ticket. The festival takes place in a large area of Victoria Park to the east of Grove Road. The route from the registered blue-badge parking area/pick-up/drop-off point to the arena entrance is approximately 650m over tarmac paths.
A site map will be available in June and will be sent out in your information pack; copies of the map will also be available from the Information Tent on the day. More information about site layout can be made available on request from mid June onwards.
We are afraid no pets are allowed at Citadel. Assistance dogs, however, will be permitted. Please visit our Disability Access page for more information.
We provide at least one accessible toilet at each main toilet block in the arena, one at the main stage viewing platform and one at the Welfare tent. These will be ‘festival style’ portable units, and will be signposted and shown on the maps in your info pack.
LEAVING THE FESTIVAL
Citadel takes place in a beautiful park in the middle of the East End of London. Please respect the neighbourhood and our neighbours by leaving quickly and quietly, not dropping litter, and using the toilets provided. If you need directing to toilets or transport links, please ask one of the stewards on the routes to and from the park. Thanks for helping us out.
