PRESENTED BY OPEN SENSES & FUTUREPLAY
Open Senses & FuturePlay plan to turn up the heat a little when they propose the question “Is Virtual Reality actually a good idea?!” to a panel of tech experts and VR specialists.
A weekend dedicated to the senses. A festival of art exhibitions, live events and performances, sensory journeys and walks, open studios and labs, and a ground-breaking symposium. Partners include: National Gallery, Institute of Philosophy, Moorfields Eye Hospital, 4160 Tuesdays, Room One and more.
FuturePlay (formerly the Edinburgh Digital Entertainment Festival) celebrates, explores and showcases cutting-edge creative content and ideas at the intersection of art and technology. The festival runs from 3-26 August in Edinburgh and features geodesic domes and shipping containers on George Street which will house interactive installations, a virtual reality studio, an immersive art gallery, interactive technology zone, food stalls and a bar. FuturePlay is produced by Riverside Studios, in association with Assembly Festival. More details can be found at www.futureplayfest.com
